Introduction
In 1791, Jean Francois Bautte established a manufactory
in Geneva that would later (in 1854) become Girard-Perregaux. From that time,
Girard-Perregaux has operated continuously. Over that time, the company has produced
a vast array of pocket watches and wristwatches, ranging from the very simple
to the extraordinarily complicated. In current production are special pieces including
a perpetual calendar with minute repeater & carillon, a rattrapante-chronograph
tourbillon minute repeater and several variants of their signature tourbillon
with three gold bridges. more
